Dog Park, 2012 – 2013

Pretty much everyone in the dog park is having a good time.  Laughter comes easily, the kind of laughter that comes from exuberance, without irony and at no one’s expense.  The dark side of the domestication of non-human animals - millions of homeless animals, caged in shelters and often killed for lack of space and resources; puppy mills; illness from over-breeding; dogs pitted against each other for the sake of entertainment and gambling; abuse at the hands of deranged and sadistic humans - is not much in evidence here.
